Bomunho Lake, Gyeongju

Bomunho Lake, Gyeongju.

Gyeongju is undisputedly the most well-known city to explore historic Korea and it’s beautiful Bomun Lake. I visited Gyeongju with Daniel, Bea, Geonah oppa and his family this January. His dad drove up us to Bomun Lake and the weather was just fantastic even though the lake was frozen solid. I think it was my first time in life seeing a completely frozen lake (4-5cm) and the pictures came out really beautiful as well.

Bomun lake is actually famous for its cheery blossoms during spring, as the walkway along the lake is lined with cherry blossom trees. The lake is in the center of the Bomun Lake Resort, a tourist complex that has everything from accommodation facilities to an art gallery to a drive-in theatre.
